Michael W. Krause, MSPH, CIH, ROH

Michael W. Krause, MSPH, CIH, ROH, holds a position with VERITOX® as a Senior Industrial Hygienist. Mr. Krause has more than 25 years of experience providing industrial hygiene consulting and training.

Mr. Krause holds a Master of Science degree in Public Health / Industrial Hygiene and Safety from the University of Washington. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), a Canadian Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH), and a certified OSHA Institute trainer.

Mr. Krause has provided industrial hygiene, safety, asbestos management, and indoor air quality services to firms in the aerospace, metals, and wood products industries; to schools and universities; building owners and managers; contractors; utilities; hospitals; labor unions; and government agencies.

Michael has provided litigation support and expert testimony on cases involving mold, asbestos, manganese and other issues. He has provided loss prevention and claims support services for self-insured clients, insurance companies, administrators, adjusters, and national brokers.

Mr. Krause developed and delivered training for thousands of workers in State and EPA accredited asbestos courses, hazard communication, respiratory protection, noise, methylene chloride, and lead.

Mr. Krause established a NIST / NVLAP accredited bulk asbestos laboratory and an AIHA accredited asbestos counting laboratory. He oversaw development and delivery of NIOSH 582 equivalent courses for asbestos analysts.

Michael serves on the WISHA Innovations Task Force, an appointed group of professionals working with Washington to rewrite the safety and health codes in plain language.

Mr. Krause is a full member of the American Academy of Industrial Hygiene and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). He currently serves on the national AIHA Noise Committee. He has served as President and Director of the 350 member AIHA Pacific Northwest Section. Michael is an affiliate member of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH).
